We have 4 juvenile geckos (gender unknown), 2 of which are ready to go now and 2 ready in a few weeks. Hatching dates on each photo. All eating and shedding well. We saved Gecko 3 from the jaws of its father, hence the loss of tail; it should grow back. Their parents live happily together and these offspring are from eggs we missed in their enclosure; we are not breeders.
These geckos are diurnal, arboreal and native to Madagascar, they not a reptile you handle as their skin is delicate, but they are relatively easy to care for. They require a humid terrarium (tall rather than wide), UVB source, heat lamp, horizontal perches (bamboo tubes ideal), places to hide/cover so they feel safe. Their diet consists of a mixture of insects and fruit. They are interesting to watch and quite active especially in the early evening.
