The centre are a family partnership of four people, Mick, Kath and daughter Kelly plus her husband, and falconer, Andy.
Andy has been passionate about birds from a very young age, owning his first bird at the age of 12. Andy and Kelly started their own business Passage School of Falconry then in the Summer of 2006 they saw that The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre was for sale and thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for them all, and by January 2007 the purchase was complete.
The team have done a lot of upgrading, added a play area, created a waterfowl lake and brought to the centre 20 more birds. The centre's aim is to give those that wish to learn more about these magnificent and beautiful creatures the opportunity to do so in a relaxed and fun environment.
The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre believe that through public education they can highlight the needs of birds and animals bought as pets. They are open to the public from Easter through to the end of October, and charge admission in order to raise the funds needed to keep these animals safe and well, and continue their fantastic work.
